Cari Keller
I am the creator of the labor of love that is WonderView Preschool. I hold K-5 Elementary Education and K-12 Special Education certificates specializing in Behavioral/Emotional Disorders from Eastern Michigan University. I am also a certified preschool director with multiple specialization certifications on a variety of early childhood topics.
My love of working with young children started at an early age, as my mother ran an in-home daycare for 20 years. I went on to obtain my education degree and teach in two Therapeutic Day Schools in Chicago. My adoration of children deepened as I raised my own 4 children, 2 of whom are identical twins.
When my family moved to Austin in 2013, I learned about Clearview Sudbury School. The Sudbury philosophy is deeply aligned with my knowledge and experience of the conditions in which children thrive. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to show my community that these principles can be applied to early childhood.

Young children are my favorite humans! I delight in their curiosity, authenticity, and natural brilliance. I’m thrilled to be on staff at WonderView, where I get to help offer families the preschool option that I wish had been available when my children were young.
In my grade school years, I was inspired by my lifelong English teacher mother who held a master’s in Special Education. I hold a BA in Public Relations from Texas Tech University. My work experience includes a successful 20-year career in Advertising & Marketing, punctuated by experiences as a real-world educator in various preschool, elementary, middle and high school settings. My most recent education experience has been as a staff member at Clearview Sudbury School since 2021.
For more than a decade, I’ve been on a self-driven quest to learn about early childhood development, respectful parenting, and alternative education. My body of knowledge includes more than 100 books and counting, as well as 70+ hours of group and private training on these topics. Naturally, I have learned the most through my ongoing journey of raising two teen sons, who currently attend Clearview.

I fell in love with Austin when I moved here in 2000 to go to the University of Texas. I earned a BA of Mathematics from UT and went on to earn an MEd in Education from Texas State. While finishing my masters, I began my career as a teacher.
I have taught children of all ages, in the classroom and privately. I have worked in schools as both a teacher and in administration. My constant aim is to provide a safe space where children, parents and staff feel respected and valued. My educational philosophy is that education starts with building a relationship based on respect and trust. I believe that, with a growth mindset and a supportive environment, all people have the capacity to learn.
